Privacy Policy — Asaan Prompt

Asaan Prompt turns reference images into detailed AI image prompts, from Pinterest or your own uploads, and offers an optional Chat mode (with optional voice input) for iterating on them.

What we collect

• Your email address. Verified once via a one-time code sent to your inbox, then stored locally in your browser. It's used only to check whether your account has Chat/better-models access, and — if you tap "Request access" — to record that request. It is never attached to usage analytics, never sent to the AI providers below, and never sold. Readable only by the developer/admins.
• Anonymous usage analytics. Each generation or chat message logs which AI engine handled it, success/failure, latency, token counts and estimated cost — tagged with a random per-install id (e.g. anon-x7k2…), never your email. This is used to monitor reliability and, for Chat, to enforce a monthly usage budget per install. It contains no prompt text, no images, and no page content, and cannot be linked back to you.
• Images you generate from. A reference image (from Pinterest or your own upload) is sent, together with the instructions needed to write your prompt, to our server-side proxy and forwarded to the AI provider handling that request. It is not stored after the request completes.
• Chat conversations. If you use Chat, your messages and attached images for that conversation are sent to the AI provider to generate a reply, for that request only. Chat history is saved locally in your browser (not on our servers) so you can revisit it later, and is never used to improve any AI model.
• Microphone audio, only if you use voice input in Chat. Tapping the mic sends your speech to Chrome's built-in speech-to-text service (Google's) to convert it to text in the message box before you send anything — this only happens while you're actively speaking with the mic on, audio is never recorded or stored by us, and the feature is entirely optional.
• Prompt text, only for Pro Max (image generation). Pro Max is an admin-approved tier that generates an actual image from a written prompt. If it's enabled on your account, the prompt text is sent to our server-side proxy and forwarded to the image-generation provider to create that image; it is not stored after the request completes. Generated images are kept only in your browser's local extension storage.

What we never collect

Your browsing activity, page content beyond the image you act on, or any Pinterest account data. History, presets, and settings stay in your browser's local extension storage and never leave your machine except as described above.

Third parties

• Google Cloud Vertex AI and Groq process reference images/chat content solely to generate your prompt or reply, governed by their own privacy policies.
• Vercel hosts our backend (email verification, access checks, analytics, and the AI proxy) and Upstash (Redis) stores analytics, admin/access lists, and per-install budget counters — no images or prompt text are stored in either.
• Brevo delivers the one-time sign-in code to your inbox — it receives only your email address and the code itself, for that purpose, governed by its own privacy policy.
• Google's speech-to-text service (built into Chrome) processes microphone audio if you use voice input in Chat, as described above.
• Aiide (an AI API gateway) generates Pro Max images from your prompt text, for accounts where that tier is enabled, governed by its own privacy policy.

Data retention & deletion

Analytics entries are capped and rotate out automatically. To have your email and access record deleted, contact us below.
